Appearance: orange in color with a 1/2" head that lingers a while.
Smell: light tropical fruit and citrus aroma.
Taste: caramel, orange, melon, pineapple, grapefruit, and a decent bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp to start, less crisp at the finish. Short lasting aftertaste.
Overall: pretty straight forward IPA that is easy to drink.

Received as an extra in a trade. Bottled on 4/29/19
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice crystal clear honey hue with a big creamy white two finger head that fades slowly to leave rocky lacing and a dense blanket.
S - Aromas of super bright tropical notes, flashes of mango and bright juicy peach. Little bit of orange peel. Just of of juicy fruit paste and a little dried peach as well. Light malt sweetness and just a flash of pine.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with more of tropical fruit and sweetness. The peach is practically gone and in it's place is a lingering grapefruit peel and pine bitterness combo. There is some pleasant malt sweetness as well that helps offset and balance out that bitterness on the finish.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, little crisp, but the body is on the lighter side making it come across as a bit thin.
O - Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this IPA I just wish the taste popped as much as the nose. Even with the body being a bit thin this was an enjoyable IPA that I'd certainly drink again.

Columbus killed it with insane wandered #1. Every iteration since has failed to impress. It's gone from my favorite ipa last year to one I'm ready to pass over next time I see it. Columbus should quit with the gimmick of "volume 1/2/3/862 omgzzz I better not miss the next one" marketing gimmick of a completely different beer under the same name and just stick with what worked - volume 1.

Bottled on 4/1/19. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours golden with nice clarity and has bubbles racing upwards; fluffy off-white head that falls leaving great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have some tropical notes along with some hints of bread. Mild hints of caramel. Malts are there. The flavors have some pineapple and grapefruit leading the way. Nice blend of tropical and citrus fruits. Some pine and fresh grass. Solid bitterness. Malts do their thing without dominating. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, slightly fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a pretty solid IPA. It might not be anything super crazy, but it's still nice stuff. The craftsmanship is on point, as always when it comes to Columbus. I still personally like Volumes 1 & 2 the most in this series, but I like this one more than Volume 3, for whatever it's worth.
