On draught at the brewpub (3/2007). This brew is a lightly murky reddish amber color with a medium light beige head that has fair retention. Thin rings of lacing throughout. The aroma is fruity hops and caramel. Rich-bodied and before knowing what style it was I started off thinking it was a Barleywine and was convinced it was a 2IPA by the end of the glass. There is a strong citrus and resiny hops flavor with a solid malt and caramel backbone. The finish is bitter hops with touches of fruit. Most of CBCs one-offs are better than their regular offerings and this beer is no exception.
