Skateland brewed by Columbus Brewing Company, with an ABV of 5.30% This American Pale Ale pours out of a 12oz glass bottle into a pint beer glass. The color is a nice hazy amber color with a nice white head. Definitely a unfiltered brew, not saying that is a bad thing. There is a nice amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass. The smell is Rich with hop bitterness, mixed with sweetness , earthy grains and malts. You also pick up on some nice citrus flavors in the smell as well. Now for the taste, it is Bold with flavors. You first pick up on a nice rich mild hop bitterness mixed with earthy grains and malts. The citrus notes are a nice touch to this brew. The mild hop bitterness is a added bonus for me. The body of Skateland is a solid medium. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. Really easy going APA. This is definitely a keeper, Bold but smooth. The mouth feel is Bold, Rich, Smooth, Clean and Refreshing. Overall I'm going to give Skateland a solid 4 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again giving the opportunity too. Columbus Brewing Company, did a real nice job with this American Pale Ale.

Doesnt look or smell like much but has a night malty base with a nice, fresh hop zip that goes down well. No SNPA but a solid APA for sure.

I got a 6pck of this from my local meijer. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had faint citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with lemon hints. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Bottle dated 2/13/19. CBF Tulip pint.

A: pours a hazy dark gold with 1 finger white head that lingers. Streams of light carbonation. Lacing in sheets, leaving a ring as I take each sip.

S: Says Azacca, but has the familiar mosaic/citra “new age” hoppiness. Very light, bright, and citrusy.

T: arrives much the same way it smells, light hoppiness, tangy citrus, crisp malt balance; never really goes sweet; ends in a light, crisp, lingering citrus peel bitterness. Finishing bitterness is noticeable, but not overpowering. Quite tame by modern standards. I like it.

M: lighter end of mid-weight, fluffy ale texture with ample, but not excessive carbonation. Pretty clean; not very slick.

O: a perfectly executed new age pale. Mild and refreshing. I like this loads better than Thunderlips, which is more bitter. This is also more complex than Mosaic Promise. Really well done pale. Reminds me of PSA. I could definitely drink a sixer of this.

Skateland | Columbus Brewing Company. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, this sports a 3 finger thick head, with solid lacing, and a clear medium/ deep gold body.

I smell plenty of citrus-y, piney, & tropical hops with mellower malts.

Tastes like a hoppier yet version of the aroma. Any stronger and this could easily be an IPA(not a bad thing whatsoever, just was pontificating).Kinda wish the malts were more pronounced juuust a bit. Clean and refreshing finish.

Medium-light mouthfeel with mild carbonation

I'll rate Skateland | Columbus Brewing Company with an overall 4. This would be higher if it weren't AS chill on flavor.

Bottled on 2/14/19. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a deep golden with a subtle haze; fluffy white head that falls leaving great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have a nice blend of citrus and tropical fruits. Hints of vanilla. Fresh bread and crackers are there. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. Lots of orange. Lots of fresh grass. More bread and crackers in the mix. Mild and subtle sweetness. Moderate bitterness. Malts do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's fluffy, sharp, creamy, smooth and easy to drink.

This is a solid pale ale. Solid hop flavors. I feel like I'm picking up on alot of citra hops in the aromas and flavors. Not bad at all.
