32 ounce crowler, filled yesterday (1/1/2020) at the brewery/taproom. Served in a thistle glass, the beer pours dark brown with about an inch tan head that stayed around for a while. There's also a decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma a lot, the brew smells like peaty smoke, caramel malt, iodine, woodiness and some honey. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some vanilla, seaweed and cocoa flavors noticeable. There's a sweet, peaty finish. Barrel is very noticeable here, this brew is all about the peat/whisky! Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. If you're into Islay whiskies like I am and/or peated beer, then you'll probably like this brew too. Liked it so much when I had a glass at the taproom yesterday I figured I'd get some to take home, and I'm glad I did!
