I'm gonna give this one a 3.25. There's nothing wrong with it, but also nothing very memorable about it. The amazing part of the beer is that it truly tastes like a 5%er vs 8.5%. So where they're hiding that other 3.5%, I do not know. With all of that said, it's easy enough to sip on slowly and enjoy. If I wanted a 6pk of this to hang out with me while I busted out some favorite movies and classic video games -- it'd do the trick.

 

I got a can of this beer from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had fresh kiwi and papaya notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright sweet malt base with fresh guava and papaya presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

 

Description: Golden/orange hue with a white head that lingers and somewhat cloudy. Aroma is...? I got very little. My nose was stuffy. Sorry. The taste is mostly bitter grapefruit with some dank notes. It's a bit muddled, but still pretty good. Feel is full-bodied for an IPA with medium carbonation and a smooth finish.

Overall: 4 (This beer is good and I may or may not drink it again) A middle of the road IPA for CBC, which is still pretty good. It's not amazing, but you could certainly do much worse.

This beer pours pale yellow with a slight haze. A steady stream of bubble rise from the bottom of the glass to feed an inch of creamy, off-white head that leaves great lacing.
