I liked this a lot. Very enjoyable. Pleasant bitterness. Appropriately juicy. Easy to drink. Good balance of flavors and elements. What I don’t like is the application of the vaunTed name of Bodhi to a beer clearly inferior to the original. This reminds me of the New Belgium variants of Voodoo Ranger (not even close to a beer like Bodhi) that you see in the 19.2 oz gas station cans. Don’t get me wrong. I’d buy a 19.2 of this in a heartbeat but I feel CBC is above using the Bodhi name like this. I would stack Bodhi against ANY IPA out there. In the world. Don’t diminish it. Gas station or otherwise. Just call it something else. Respect your masterpiece.

I got a 6pck of cans of this beer from my local meijer store. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had subtle dank tropical citrus fruit presence. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base with slightly bitter tropical fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

A - Medium gold pour with a slight bit of haze and a thin layer of dense foam with light carbonation.
S - Overall aroma is on the lighter side with light, herbal citrus weediness.
T - Citrus, herbal, berry, and tropical fruit while finishing on the spicy, herbal fruitier side with underlying bitterness.
M - Big medium body with alot of gentle carbonation hitting the top of the tongue and coats the inside of the mouth with a thin layer of cotton-like texture.
O - Pretty solid.

A 12-ounce can poured into a tulip:
L: Hazy gold, slight orange tint with a strong off-white head and plenty of lacing.
S: Small citrus scent. Tropical with some resin.
T: Up front with the bitterness, just like I remember regular Bodhi being. Behind it is that citrusy, resinous taste. I guess this combination of tropical and pine flavor inevitably reminds me of cleaner, even though that isn't fair to the beer.
F: Smooth, pillowy, pretty full in body with solid carbonation.
