Big nose full of canteloupe, pine, and citrus. Flavor is loaded with dried fruit and hop resin, with notes of black pepper and mint. A huge, intense double IPA that remains dangerously balanced and drinkable.

Very solid taste, but not what I had been expecting for a DIPA, especially with the IBU level. Hops were slightly more understated.

Tasting glass on tap at Hella Good in Portland, Maine.
Appearance: Pours a hazy amber. Some lacing on the way down.
Aroma: Aromatic DIPA. Lots of pronounced fruit and some pine, too.
Taste: Big, juicy, flavorful double IPA. Serious alcohol burn. I get some peppery notes, too, but maybe that's because I'm pairing this with tacos. Either way, it's a big fruit- and hop-forward DIPA.
Mouthfeel: Medium depth. Firm malt backbone.
Overall: Very nice big IPA. Definitely need to get a full pint of this one.

Pours hazy gold with an inch of dense white froth. A slow retreat reveals a partial skim coat on the surface and plenty of stringy lacing throughout the glass.
Aromatics lead off with loads of tropical fruit with some piney backbone. Mango, peach, apricot, and melon rind. Juicy and lush.
Medium bodied with a creamy, tacky mouthfeel. The hop resin is apparent.
Plump citrus fruits with barely a trace of malt starts the palate. Pine-rubbed mangos, candied apricot, and orange blossom honey. Bitterness is only an afterthought.
Finishes dry yet juicy, with lingering tropical fruits and Spruce dew.
Best IIPA out of Maine to date.

A-Pours a slightly hazy, orange color. Body does glow. Head is an awesome, doughy mattress of white goodness. Dots and stripes of lacing.
S-Very hoppy! Bitter pine and grapefruit right off the bat butt here is a neat tropical element to it as well. Almost a melon sort of situation. The nose also offers what is probably going to be a fairly full maltiness.
T-Hops are potent but there does lie a balance here. Caramel and rich bread malt combine with the resiny hop juice very nicely. Citrusy, grassy and piney with the aforementioned tropical fruit hop flavor too; still thinking melon.
M-Bitter. Slight booze. Medium bodied leaning toward full. Medium carbonation. Sneakily drinkable.
O-A tasty Imperial IPA well worth the cost of a pint. Very pleased I got this one because I would not have known what I missed out on otherwise.
