Draught @ Brewery: This one poured a cloudy, light golden yellow color. There was minimal head and lacing. It has a lighter nose. Mainly wheat and citrus. The taste is good. Tart lemon and wheat. Not bad.

Pours a pale golden with a thick white head. Beer is hazy and head rapidly disappears to nothing.
Smell is strange. There are familiar notes of lemon, grain and tartness, but with a hint of cheesiness and more strangely a fake berry smell reminiscent of aromatic organic chemicals. Like strange perfume that's gone a bit off and now resembles solvent
Taste is much more the usual, with lemon, light tartness and a bit of funk. A slight hint of that fake berry flavor though.
Feel is light and refreshing.
Sort of a mess, though mostly it seems to be a product of lacto gone wild . Needs work.

A bright golden yellow color. Quickly receding white head.
Fruity aroma, not very tart.
Lemony taste, somewhat tart.
Definitely not as sour as I thought it should be.
Still a refreshing beer.

Not very sour for a Berlinner Weiss. Golden color, good lacing. Pretty easy drinking for this style but not a lot going on. Some fruit notes. Low ABV and not bad overall for a summer beer

Not a big fan of this one- it had something of a Parmesan cheese aspect in the aroma and flavor- doesn't seem appropriate for the Berliner Weisse style. Hope they adjust it for the next batch...

I generally do not rate beers unless I had at least a pint and with relativity clean palate (a beer or two in at most). I guess the ratings are from the Extreme Beer Fest and I think they are doing the beer a bit of injustice. I've tasted it too and was very impressed by it. It was nicely sour and lemony - very reminiscent of a lemonade - the kind of sourness that is refreshing rather than overpowering. I got the feeling that I would enjoy drinking this beer all day long - all hot, summer day long. I feel I should disclose that I am a big fan of low-alcohol beers in general and Berliner Weisse style in particular.
