Good head production and decent retention.

Coffee is prominent on the nose, amplified by the smoke. Maple syrup comes through as well. Very appropriate aroma for the aim, a combination of breakfast impressions from flapjacks to bacon.

Bold and rich on the palate, but not overly sweet - quite reminiscent of MBCP, but at over 8% ABV. Maple, wood, and smoke up front, yielding to a saltier and smokier middle. Full bodied but not quite chewy; mild alcohol presence.

This is fantastic! A ton of flavor that fully delivers on the premise, but is still very much a beer.

Can from Jeff, thanks for the hookup!
Dark brown with a khaki head that persists. Rich coffee and roasty chocolate with some light maple and a hint of smoke. Weird mashup of ingredients but a tasty beverage in the end.

16oz can by the campfire.

Pours opaque black with barely a trace of brown head and minimal retention. Roasty and coffee-laden in the nose. Full bodied with a oily, slickish mouthfeel. Dark chocolate with notes of espresso, char, and Oreo shells on the palate. A hint of maple syrup perhaps but no taste of pancakes evident. Finishes with lingering roast and coffee.

Nice breakfast stout but could certainly use more maple and flap jack character.
