Interesting idea, with Kelp, canned 2/28/20
Pours a lighter fizzy bubbly head with low retention, off-white head, fair lacing, decent legs, hazy chestnut brown-red color
NOse brings nice toasted grainy sweet biscuity malt with some toffee, a bit of caramel, sweet heavy biscuity toast, a little earthy salty briney note that could be Kelp or Seaweed or something, hint smokey
Taste brings plenty more toasted grainy malt, biscuity bread crust, dark cereal grains like a multi-grain bread, little earthy component that might be hops or the kelp, some caramel and toffee notes, sweet caramel candy like but not overly sweet or sticky, touch smokey as well, med-light bitterness with earthy spicy hops and that mild earthy briney note again, low alcohol
Mouth is med to fuller bod, heavy, med foamy carb, low to basically no alcohol
Overall not bad, interesting wee heavy, not as much caramel as I thought, the rest of the beer is decent, kelp is light and could add a hint of earthy note, interesting beer but not one I'd want to drink much of
