16 oz can acclimated to 50°F and poured into an IPA glass.
Pours a hazy/murky, less vibrant red jasper color, with a 0.5-1 finger fuzzy white head
Initial aroma is tart raspberry, very floral, I get the jasmine and lavender. Some hops, sharp and bitter smelling, hint of peppery kick, and a note of custard like a fruit tart.
After agitating, it's mostly hops with a little yeasty dairy funk smell, and the same flowers behind it.
Initial taste before swallowing is mildly bitter and definitely fruity and tart. A green tea taste appears in the middle, and some tart pineapple later.
After swallowing I immediately get the lavender and then jasmine, which last into the finish. A note of raspberry fudge brownie lasts a while, joined soon by a moderate numbness, spreading over the top and tip of the tongue. In the finish the jasmine is strongest, being white and olive/light green, joined by some tannins. There's a little tartness throughout, though I didn't notice specifically hibiscus.
Feel is pleasant, a little thicker and not lacking at all. It's juicy and pulpy, though not to same level as most hazy IPAs. Smooth and velvety.
Overall I love this. I'm a fan of brewing with flowers and this one does it well. A velvet feel giving way to a numbness was wonderful and complimentary. I did feel that the lavender and jasmine clashed a little, but it was still very very pleasant and I savored the aftertaste with each sip.
Will absolutely seek out to buy again.
