Modeled after the Rauchbiers of Bamberg, Germany, ours is a malt-driven, unfiltered golden lager brewed with beech-wood smoked malt. Honey and cereal malt flavors blend into a smooth, smoky finish.

On-tap at Dirck The Norseman, Brooklyn, NY
A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that consistently covered the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of bread malts are present in the nose along with some hints of smoke.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of bread malts along with hints of smoky malts.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is an interesting take on a Munich Helles Lager as the smoke lends some interesting complexities to the smell and taste.
