This is a session black ipa... should be unique.
From a growler, pours a murky dark brown with a big full off-white head. The nose is roast, guava, a little brown sugar, not much hop content, a little earthy and biscuit. The flavor is a little flat and leaves alot to desire. It is syrupy, faint hops and mild roast. It is sessionable, but that also can easily become "lacking in flavor and substance." This is drinkable, but nothing special. A bit boring and very forgettable.
