Black flakes poured out of the can. Utterly disgusting. I do not recommend.

Excellent all-around and considering I just got it from the brewery yesterday it's definitely not retired!

Bought this at Greenpoint during it's last release, finally getting around to it tonight. Not a bad beer but this had to be one of the more "typical" releases from them. What do I mean by that? It's not plain, but just a textbook example of the IPA's that brewers in this neck of the woods are releasing now. If you like yours dank, juicy, and sweet, then look no further as this satisfied all three of those requirements!
Nice, dank look to this beer but nothing outstanding. Plenty of head to top the muddle, apricot liquid. Surprisingly, little lacing was left behind as I worked my way through this though that was the only less-than-average aspect of this beer. Tons of apparent Mosaic and Galaxy in the nose with lime, citrus pith, and dank notes in the nose as all of them came through more in the taste. Dank and sweet, there was tons of stone fruit pith, lime, dank hops, yeast, sediment, candied citrus, and bubblegum in the complex but oddly-pleasing taste. A bit of a burn could be felt in the aftertaste once I finished this off, but that was probably more to blame on me than Greenpoint as I let this sit for a few months before getting around to it!
A good amount of booze was here though it could be felt and not tasted, even after I finished this off. An underlying tone of pine and fresh-cut grass held this together as there was a lot going on here but with a crisp, mint-like aftertaste and addicting dankness, this was a winner when all was said and done. Lovely stuff that gave this brewery instant cred, though they deserve much more at this point. At least it's still a best-kept secret for those of us in the know!

You have to have a sense of humor to not take the name of this beer too seriously. Having said that, this is one fine tasting and smelling beer. Nice hop profile with galaxy, simcoe and mosaic well balanced and a great dry finish/aftertaste. Nice job Greenpoint.
