Bought this at Greenpoint during it's last release, finally getting around to it tonight. Not a bad beer but this had to be one of the more "typical" releases from them. What do I mean by that? It's not plain, but just a textbook example of the IPA's that brewers in this neck of the woods are releasing now. If you like yours dank, juicy, and sweet, then look no further as this satisfied all three of those requirements!

Nice, dank look to this beer but nothing outstanding. Plenty of head to top the muddle, apricot liquid. Surprisingly, little lacing was left behind as I worked my way through this though that was the only less-than-average aspect of this beer. Tons of apparent Mosaic and Galaxy in the nose with lime, citrus pith, and dank notes in the nose as all of them came through more in the taste. Dank and sweet, there was tons of stone fruit pith, lime, dank hops, yeast, sediment, candied citrus, and bubblegum in the complex but oddly-pleasing taste. A bit of a burn could be felt in the aftertaste once I finished this off, but that was probably more to blame on me than Greenpoint as I let this sit for a few months before getting around to it!

A good amount of booze was here though it could be felt and not tasted, even after I finished this off. An underlying tone of pine and fresh-cut grass held this together as there was a lot going on here but with a crisp, mint-like aftertaste and addicting dankness, this was a winner when all was said and done. Lovely stuff that gave this brewery instant cred, though they deserve much more at this point. At least it's still a best-kept secret for those of us in the know!

You have to have a sense of humor to not take the name of this beer too seriously. Having said that, this is one fine tasting and smelling beer. Nice hop profile with galaxy, simcoe and mosaic well balanced and a great dry finish/aftertaste. Nice job Greenpoint.

2 16 oz. cans acquired in a trade. My first taste of a Greenpoint product. Pour is hazy orange - strong citrusy aroma. The taste is a nice balance between the citrus and malt - bitterness does not predominate. The 7.8% ABV is not immediately apparent but there's no doubt about this being a Double IPA. I'm very impressed with this product and am happy to conclude that this was a very successful trade. I'll look for Greenpoint in any future travels to its distribution area.

Tall can w/o any dating that I can find

Pours heavily clouded darker tangerines, minor head, film and thin collar.

Nose is loaded with oranges and assorted tropical fruit notes

Tropical fruit bomb IPA squarely in the New England ipa mold

Soft on the palate/nice mouthfeel

Tasty and quite enjoyable...would def purchase more if it was readily available

L - brick of haze material right here. Slightly dark orange with a tad of murkiness to it.

S - orange and pine up front, but spices quickly overwhelm. Constant peach in the middle if you sit down and really pick the nose apart. Brighter, juicier, tropical flavors poke through on the finish.

T - amplifies the nose. Bubblegum and candied apricots. Pineapple gummies and juicy peach. Definitely got those tropical flavors nailed down. Candy is the key word here. Take your favorite fruits and infuse them with sugar and... uh, "candy" them? Not really sure what goes on in that process but the end result is tasty. This beer packs those flavors without the teeth-rotting self-loathing that follows! Bright orange, melon, and mango juice. Finishes without much bitterness. Definitely a treat.

F - medium body. Expected more syrup from a 7.8% DIPA but this actually works pretty well. Lets the flavors overwhelm with candy rather than the mouthfeel forcing it on you.

O - a tasty beer. Incorporates a lot of delicious hops in a combination you don't normally see. End result plays to the advantages of each hop, injecting sweet, but not cloying flavor of all sorts. Soft and satisfying flavors, but occasionally the beer reminds you that it's got booze in it. I can dig it.

Poured a slightly hazy golden orange color with a white bubbly head. The nose is all hops with citrus and pine punching you in the face. The flavor follows suit. You get citrus, pine, with a bit of bitterness thats all balanced by a solid malt backbone. The feel is medium with decent carbonation. This is an excellent beer! It's the first I've had from this brewery and it makes me definitely want to try more.

Pours a murky orangish-brown with moderate carbonation and one inch of off white head. Loads of tropical fruits citrus hops fruity malts pineapples light line and resin, mangos, and lemon zest. Tiniest bit of a better bite in the taste but barely there. Medium body and low carbonation.

Overall a really awesome DIPA; this is probably the best beer I've had from Greenpoint. Really excited to see them make a beer like this.

T - follows the nose with a bit of grassy bitterness on the back
F - light to medium carb
O - second beer I've had and the beer lives up to the name, really excellent!

The beer comes in hazy medium gold.

The aroma offers intense ripeness, white grape, pineapple, berry.

The flavor follows with theme of sticky Simcoe and earthy pine, but also with that berry, melon, strawberry, mango, pineapple, a velvety soft DIPA with really light bitterness.

An underrated, fantastic New England style IPA from Greenpoint. Pours a hazier golden-yellow with a thin white head and nice lacing. Tasty hop character, not too bitter and very drinkable. Grapefruit and pine notes.

Fluffy white head, light golden color, hop bomb delicious. Hop profile reminded me of OH AGE but at 7.5% was way better to drink. Amazing beer frankly, had no idea what it would be like, so a fantastic surprise
