Look: A nice murky orange with a white foamy top.
Smell: An understated but nice aroma. Upon opening the can lots of botanical and sweet scent, but this didn't linger long.
Taste: Tastes like orange and orange zest. Some sweetness but not much bitterness to speak of.
Feel: A little less carbonated than the average DIPA, but still good.
Overall: Good for a DIPA, easy to drink.

Bought this a while ago and finally got around to it tonight, as I've been on a big Greenpoint kick lately. Love the can with the map of New York on it and the absurd idea that a dome could be built over it in 2020. All kidding aside, this was a solid brew that was balanced, pungent, and so easy on the palate from the get-go!
Good pour to this as the beer was a muted apricot with some translucence to it, but not hazy or dank in any sense of the word. Lots of spider web-type head topped it off which remained as spotted lacing down the side of my Teku glass. Mango, papaya, tangerine juice, citrus pith, and white peach in the nose with all of those present in the taste as well. Neither was strong but both were pleasant and captivating at the same time. The description on the can said that this was pithy, which would be an excellent adjective to characterize both the taste and idea behind this brew, as the mouthfeel felt like stone fruit and citrus pith more than anything else. Hints of pine, honey, and amber lingered in the aftertaste as this was quite sticky, but not enough to overpower the range of fruit flavors in this.
The alcohol could have been toned down a notch but by no means was it a deterrent. Even though I let this sit for too long, I loved this beer and it aged well that it didn't turn into a malt bomb upon opening. One of Greenpoint's better offerings, this was solid from front to back and further proof that this was, and is, the brewery in Gotham that's still (unfairly) under the radar.

16 oz. can poured into nonic
(courtesy of @TongoRad)
L: murky yellow-orange leaning on the yellow side, SRM 3-4, just a hint of gold in the middle; small head, barely a finger tall, foam is offwhite; no sticking or lacing, keeps a slight collar of white foam
S: grapefruit, pineapple, hint of mango; very sweet, candied grapefruit or a grapefruit snow cone ... or even a pina colada snow cone (no alcohol); a good deep pull always brings up grapefruit first, even as it warms ... the malt seems only to be adding a generic sweetness to it, not any specific aromas; one key note — the aroma is *strong* ... I can smell the hops from about 2 feet away as the pint just sits on my desk, and that's without swirling the glass to kick up a little head
T: similar to the nose but more pineapple-mango up front with the grapefruit subsiding to a lesser role; bitter ... and arguably very dry with the hops easily outdistancing the malt; as it warms, some malt sweetness peeks in, but it never gets that caramel flavor many American DIPAs get as the malt takes over ... the sweet flavors stop at mango or a generic sugary note and taste more hop driven; the bitterness builds in the aftertaste as those hops pile up; the grapefruit note is a little more prominent than first advertised ... not necessarily a "grapefruit bomb" but there's plenty of that note in here
F: midweight overall; feels pretty light at times but the carbonation gives it depth; and some sips are very ale-slick and more weighty; feels sturdy
O: my kind of DIPA with the malt doing very little and allowing the hops to run the show; I don't see any born-on or best-by dates on the can, but I'd guess that this one's at least a month old and the hop pop is still fantastic ... enough so to make me think this sucker would deliver a good hop fix even after three months in the can; fresh? I bet it *is* a grapefruit bomb, one with a pretty big explosion

Appearance - Pours bright orange color, turbid nice thick white foamy head. Spotty lacing all around the glass.
Aroma - Lots of tropical fruit pineapple, orange and mango. Seems to be a bit of underlying pine as well.
Taste - Mango, orange and grapefruit. There seems to be more grapefruit in the flavor giving in to a slightly juicy with a balanced bitterness.
Feel - Medium bodied creamy feel, little tart bite on the finish.
Overall - A very well done beer, great balance between tropical juice, bitter grapefruit and hops.
