The failing Greenpoint Beer & Ale Company should support AMERICAN hop farmers. Stop funding dumb Australian imports. Bad (and SAD) deal! This is the most TREMENDOUS Imperial IPA ever made. Believe me I know, everyone agrees.

Picked this up a while ago, liking the reference to Trump both in the design and description on the can. Sure, this beer was "huge" in his sense but also huge when it came to the taste, heft, and potency of the liquid as this was the strongest beer from Greenpoint that I've had to date. Quite left coast in it's appeal, it was ironic that the place that it seemed to come from would be the opposite of where the Donald would be popular!

Chock full of sticky, oily hops, this poured a shade of Orange that would make our commander-in-chief's hair and skin tone proud. The dark apricot liquid and solid, offsetting head of bread were quite pleasing as this looked full of resin as well. Lots of bread, stone fruit, apricot, and booze in the nose as all of those came through in the taste on another level. Candied sugar, dank grass, and sticky oil rounded out the taste of this beer as it was thick and heavy; bordering on the edge of syrup. A bit of crystalline sweetness same through in good measure but that was counterbalanced by a stone fruit presence that just wouldn't give up, for the duration of my session with this.

Plenty of alcohol as there were hints of solvent and a big-time warming effect in place at the same time. A nice ring of soapy lacing was 1/3 of the way down the side of my Teku glass with plenty of soapy spots and clusters below that, as this had depth on all fronts. Easily Greenpoint's best that I've had so far, this deserved wider acclaim, which ran much deeper than the novelty factor. This was indeed tremendous, without having to boast about it!

This one exemplifies the look of a hazy IPA. Looks like orange juice with a foamy white head. The smell is candied citrus fruit and a slight amount of green wether it be grass or pine sneaking in at the end. The taste is tropical fruit balanced with a good grapefruit bitterness and no hint of 10% ABV. The feel is a little thick which is not a surprise from the way the beer looks. This is an outstanding, heavy hitting IPA from guys in Brooklyn who know how to make awesome beer!

L: supermodel quality appearance if we are talking NE hazy IPA. Beautiful maize color. Cam was adorned with a not too subtle dig on Trump, replete with a silhouette of a suit, white shirt, red tie and a Russian flag lapel pin. Fake tweet mocking Greenpoint adds to the fun.
S: hops are aggressive and fresh. Some fresh mowed grass, musty grains and a mild booze hue underneath.
T: nice balance of hop bitterness and malts. Drinkable for a heavy 10% ABV.
F: carbonation was perfect throughout the 30 minutes I savored this tallboy. Hop bitterness lingered nicely on the back of my tongue for quite a while.
O: loved it. An nice treat courtesy of Mrs. StanleysCup.

Featuring pilsner and vienna malts; hopped with Vic Secret, Citra, Cascade, Amarillo, and Mosaic, and then triple dry hopped with Vic Secret, Mosaic and Citra lupulin powder... 6/5/17 can release...

Hazy orange-gold body with a coupla fingers of head on top; just a little lace trails behind... Aromas were citric and tropical, with a dull, danker edge bringing some earthiness into the fold... On the tongue, juicy and musky pale fruit impressions, suggesting tropical and orchard fare, soft and smooth - nothing to give away that high abv - moderate carbonation and bitterness, mildly sweet; maybe a hint of caramel chew and huskiness...

Poured from a 16oz can into a speiglau IPA glass.

Color is a slightly hazy golden with a very thin head.

Aroma is astringent orange/ citrus.

Taste matches aroma. Lots of sweet orange honey with a slight citrus and a definite alcohol note.

Good/fruity on the first sip but nothing overly special as you keep going. Wasn't syrupy like I was expecting for something that high in ABV. The booziness isn't masked too well after you have a few sips.
