Picked this beer up at Greenpoint a while ago, finally getting around to it tonight. While not bad, this was probably their most "typical" offering as it reminded me of so many IPA's from this neck of the woods. If juicy, dank, cloudy IPA's are your thing, then you've found your match with this northeast-style brew!
This beer looked, felt, and tasted like juice, with plenty of haze and dankness thrown in for good measure. Lots of melon, yeast, weedy hops, and straight-up orange juice in the muted nose with all of those being present in the taste as well. Slick, dank, and full of proverbial "pulp", this didn't break any new ground but gave aficionados like me enough to proverbially chew on without breaking any new ground at the same time. The dank, stone fruit undertone came through as this warmed up while the lack of carbonation and typically slick mouthfeel left a bit to be desired...
Even the amount of booze in this was stereotypical, with it not being weak nor strong as I could feel it a bit before polishing the can off. Not a bad offering but this didn't break any new ground Love the label but that's as far as this went as this beer was ultimately superficial, and typical when all was said and done.

L- Soft, pale, golden color, cloudy with minimal foam - like a late August sunset over the ocean in Maine, or New Hampshire perhaps.
S - A mix between citrus, herby and a little juicy. Reminds me of being 8 or 9, in a field surrounded by dandelions eating a grapefruit before playing hours of kickball.
T- Hops, hops, hops and citrus, well balanced. Tastes like a Friday afternoon, outside in the sun laying in the grass, before a long weekend filled with lots of bbq'ing. Paired well with my tempura battered ahi tuna roll and quadruple creation of chocolate and double stuff oreos.
F- Smooth on the palate, low mouthful but felt like happiness in a crate and barrel glass bought with a 20% promo coupon.
Overall -
I say namaste with great gratitude to the brewer of this beer who, third to the look of my dog's face when he ran out to me upon picking him up from doggy daycare and later, him peeing in the bathtub rather than on the bedroom carpet, gave me upmost joy today. I look forward to a longstanding friendship with this beer -- fall weekends filled with crock pot dinners, bonfires, football and 60 minutes; winter nights on the couch watching movies under blankets after a day of skiing, watching college basketball or elk hunting; spring nights on the dock overlooking a serene lake with friends and family talking about the meaning of life, happiness and what it means to be content; and summer days in my swan float on the pool. I've already put my order in to have more cans delivered to me.

L - Looks like straight orange juice, maybe a shade lighter than what I'd call "perfect" for this style
S - Orange rind, grapefruit rind, a little herby/earthy
T - Pretty much like the smell, citrus rind notes and a hint of herb/earth, slight bitterness, some juice character but want a bit more.
F - Lower to mid-mouthfeel, I'm a huge fan of velvety New England IPAs so I'd prefer a little more
Overall a very solid New England style IPA from Greenpoint, would buy again but not their best.
