Picked this up at Greenpoint a while ago, finally getting around to it this week (along with their other cans in my basement!). No description of what's on it on the can itself but for being 7 months old, this has held up *very* well and was further evidence that their most recent offerings have improved since they first started canning!
Good pour as the beer was blonde, cloudy, and topped off with plenty of foamy head. A fair amount of spotty lacing remained on the side of my pint glass as I worked my way through this with more closer to the bottom half. Nice aroma of wheat, honey, floral hops, and yeast in the nose as the taste was even more floral than the aroma indicated. Some mild dankness, melon, and elderflower came into the mix as the beer had a nice slickness to it that increasingly felt like earthy, citrus pith as it warmed up. Light malt and a light carbonation rounded things out, allowing the flavors to linger though they still needed a chaser of water after the beer was finished off.
Not a lot of alcohol in this as it was quite mild for an American IPA. This was a slow sipper but for those with time, it would be wise to seek this out. Once again, this was further evidence that Greenpoint's come along with their recent offerings and deserves a wider audience!
