Pours a hazy golden orange color. A half a finger length foam head displays great retention.
Pleasant aroma dominated by semi dank and fruity hops. Notes of pine, grassy, lemon, lime, peach, apricot, melon and soft tropical fruit.
Opens with a nice combination of candied fruit supported by soft and doughy malts, creamy oats and wheat, Juicy notes of citrus fruit, mango, papaya, peach and melon well balanced with grassy, pine and resin. Good balance of malty and fruity sweetness contrasted by an assertive resiny bitterness that is West Coast like.
Medium bodied with a soft and smooth mouthfeel. The finish is dry with some nice resiny qualities. The carbonation is moderate to gentle.
Nice IPA. The brewery lists it as a NEIPA, and while it’s juicy and smooth, its resiny bitterness reminds me of traditional West Coast. The best of both worlds. I would have again.
