Pours a black color with a moderate and decently retaining tan head.
Aromas and taste are aligned. Notes of bittersweet dark chocolate, dark caramel, toffee, nutty and toasty malts along with a moderate to mild sweetness. Some mild roasted malt notes evoke coffee flavors along with a balancing bitterness produced in tandem with bright hops. In addition there are light subtle flavors of currants and dark fruit,
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate and on par, while the finish is lightly roasty and dry.
A simple and well made English Porter, pretty drinkable overall. Solid and deserving of higher ratings.

Rubby to black color. Caramel and some coffee notes in aroma. The same in flavour plus some sweetness. Thin body. No roasty notes. Nice bitterness. Overall very drinkable beer, but far from good porter.

On tap at Miners Pub
Creamy khaki head drips lacing sitting on top of a dark bodied brew that shows orange and ruby highlights in the light.
Not much roast. It's got some sweet chocolate and caramel. Nutty and bready.
It's got some hop bitterness, watery weak coffee flavor, a little caramel and I picked up an off aroma that seems a little buttery on the tongue. It's distracting but not detrimental to the beer. Very drinkable.
Nicely carbonated and with a creamy lighter medium body make a .5l drinkable.
Fairly basic. Would have enjoyed a more pronounced roast or dark fruit character which one would expect from a porter.
