My third tasting of Serbian based Kabinet Brewery at Skopje (Macedonia) Beer Fest.
John Lemon pours a hazy straw yellow and orange color. There is a wispy film that retains throughout.
Aroma and taste are aligned by way of coriander, lemon and orange peel. In the flavor, the coriander, in particular, seems to run the show as it adds a semi aggressive spicy prickle to the mouthfeel and relegates the citrus peel to supporting roles. I kind of like that balance as I find it refreshing. There is even a hoppy finish, unusual for a Witbier. The body is mostly light, crisp and with stinging carbonation. A nice summer brew.

Very hazy yellow, even milky when yeast is poured. My bottle was pretty old and perhaps that's why it was milky, but nevertheless, the smell and taste were delicious. In fact, that haziness was very original and exciting - it reminded me of White Russian! Very good retention, even after half an hour.

Smell and taste of orange and lemon peel, bananas, vanilla and coriander. (Orange and lemon peel are from Vis, one of the most remote and prettiest Croatian islands, and they should advertise it by a link with that fact.)

Unexpectedly agressive and bitter in the aftertaste, but I like wheat beers like that. And this one is right there with best of them: Schneider TAP 4 and TAP 5, Pinta Viva la wita, Jurajskie Witbier, Emelisse WItbier etc. So, it's quite different from standard (classsic) witbiers like Hoegaarden, Blanche de Namur, Blue Moon or St. Bernardus Witbier.

Along with Zmajska Pale Ale, it's the best beer in West Balkans, Croatia/Serbia, whatever... And surely of the most original ones. Give it a chance.

Smell citrus and herbs. Yellow to white head. Lavender aroma, bitter and hops. Nerbs only at start, but lemon overtakes soon, full body and high carbonation, sweetness in trace. Some tobacco and mint, bit of banana, and yeast. One of best beers to carry on beach.
