A: The beer is crystal clear light amber in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that gradually died down, but left a collar around the edge of the glass and some lacing in between.
S: Light to moderate aromas of smoked peat are present in the nose. As it warms up, you also get some notes of a dairy farm.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has some flavors of smoked peat.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: For a "peat smoked golden ale" this beer has a pretty good balance between the smokiness and the underlying beer—there's not too much peat aromas and flavors where they obscure the underlying beer.

Aroma is complex fruit, mild peat smoke and bitter-like. The flavor is fruit, peat smoke/mild rubber, malts and a mix of tart and slight heat in the finish.

Bottle pour at Shelton Brothers The Festival 2014 held at Crafted in San Pedro, CA.

Best before 3/2016.

Pours a clear orange with a foamy beige head that fades to nothing. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is of malt, smoke, and earth aromas. Taste is much the same with smoke and earth flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of smoke bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid smoke aspects all around.
