375ml bottle from Oban, Scotland:
Thick looking as it pours, there's an opaque black body with a quarter cm, foamy head with bubbles on the surface that eventually turn to a soapy looking surface. It's a strong nose with oak, chocolate & fudge initially, subtle coffee notes follow but it's very sweet & sugary with some vanilla & faint whisky at the end. The sweetness carries on to the taste, it's got a full, creamy body that's very smooth with vanilla, fudge & caramel coming through strongest. There's a richness to it with oak & sugars plus the balance is good too. There's some milk chocolate in there too with a boozy finish but it wasn't bad given it's an 11.5% number.
