As a "Salted Caramel Imperial Pastry Stout", I'm not getting a lot of caramel. That's not necessarily a bad thing; Caramel or Maple Bourbon beers can get too sweet too fast. It's a 30 IBU, 71 SRM beer that pours with a *touch* of viscosity and little head. It's not as sweet as Seeing Shadows, but much sweeter than say, a Guinness or Belgian variety. The description: "Ale brewed with Lactose, Caramel, and Hawaiian Sea Salt." I don't know what Hawaiian Sea Salt is, and this beer didn't send me into a taste vortex, but this is an easygoing, straightforward sweet beer that I think folks would love to have on tap.
