The name of this beer is like a giant pump fake, because it's not dank, at least what I consider to be dank. It has the burnt orange big DIPA look, and the aromas are DIPA-ish, with big fruity hop aromas, but there's not much dank on either the nose or the taste.

There is, though, big melon and berry flavors, and booze - lots of booze, which isn't surprising given the 11.7% ABV. But there's nothing dank (or very, VERY little dank) in the aromas or the taste.

This is a fine beer, but it has all sorts of rough edges. Buff those edges a bit, and you've got a beer that could approach world-class, IMHO.

Pours hazy with a tall thick head.
Smell is lacking. Maybe a hint of lemon citrus.
Taste is tropical fruit, large-scale. Sweet cherry and bitter juicy pine, lemon citrus, but the fruit is front and center. Less dank than I thought it'd be? Where is it? Big and sweet but balanced and not cloying. I've had a couple IPA samples before this so I don't know if I'm skewed too much, but I think not.
Full and sticky. Syrup city.
I can't drink too much of this, but it's still pretty solid.

Pours golden honey/amber color; absolutely beautiful. Light lacing to finish with little no head. Definitely an IPA: this one is not made for weaklings. 95 IBU. If you like real IPAs you will love this. Everything about this is balanced; nothing overwhelms. Tropical and fruit influences without being sweet; beautiful aroma. And, it's all there at 11.77% ABV and yet remains an easy drinking beer. Hats off to Cobra. How good would this be with a gourmet burger, or......
