Oldtown Brewhouse’s Double Vision 9.1 % ABV 95 IBU. This IPA pours a clear golden amber color with a finger width slightly off white colored head that lingers for a bit before leaving some lacing on the glass. The aroma is very sweet with caramel malt being the prominent aroma with hints of citrus and pine. The flavor starts off very malty and sweet once again there’s hints of pine and citrus in the form of lemon but overall it’s lacking in flavor especially for a double IPA it finishes with a nice hoppy bitterness to counteract the sweetness of the malts and bitterness lingers. The mouthfeel is perfect for an IPA not too thick or thin with a nice amount of carbonation. 6/10 overall not a bad IPA but it’s a bit simple lacking complexity and flavor
