Moulin Hotel & Brewery

Visited June 2013. We sat outdoors and enjoyed a lovely dinner. The Moulin Inn is 318 years old and includes a restaurant, pub, and brewery. The Moulin Brewery supplies the beer. The beer offerings at the Moulin Inn from the Moulin Brewery include Light Ale, Braveheart, Ale of Atholl, and Old Remedial. Ale of Atholl and Old Remedial are excellent!

We had an excellent soup of the day. We ordered two entrees- (1) the lamb shank with boiled potatoes, peas, and carrots; and (2) venison braveheart. The lamb was not gamey at all and was so tender that it fell off the bone. The venison was tasty and the portion was large, but the lamb shank was better than the venison. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the outdoor area. We had a rhubarb crumble for dessert. The rhubarb crumble was not overly sweet and had a homemade goodness.

The brewery is next door. During limited hours "tours" of the brewery are available. It's the size of a triple car garage, so the tour doesn't take long. The brewer was generous with samples.
