We took our APA recipe and amped it way up with a second dry hopping of experimental Lotus hops, Citra and Lemon Drop.

Can to becher pint glass.
The appearance was a fairly dark thick yellow color to it with a finger and a half's worth of rocky head, white in color. Slid off delicately to leave some messy lace.
The aroma opened up with an endearing orange juicy contour rolling into some semi-strong piney hop notes. Smooth biscuity sweet maltiness. Mellow grassy to earthy/semi-floral hop counterparts on the back end.
The flavor leaned towards a semi-sweet dry bitter citrusy to orange juicy semi-pulpy contour. Gentle dry sweet hoppy aftertaste - some lemon, some orange rind and grassiness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair in between quality of being sipping and being sessionable. The dry hopping isn't overbearing but yields to a natural movement rolling along my tongue. Carbonation felt good, somewhat low like a true New England styled one. Finishes piney with some orange rind bitterness.
Overall, what a banging APA done up in the New England style. Well worthy of more pours.

A: Pours a hazy yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a nice cap that leaves good lacing
S: Lots of citrus and tropical fruit up front along with a light earthiness and some floral notes
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the citrus and tropical fruit notes and then slowly picks up the floral and earthy undertones. Finishes with some light malt and yeast influence
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A very good pale ale that benefits from the double dry-hopping. It almost puts it on an IPA level. Super drinkable. Worth checking out

From the can dated 10/31/19. Sampled on November 28, 2019.
Hazy looking pale yellow color with a modest and slowly fading white head. Pulpy looking. Semi-opaque.
Aroma of citrus and pulp. A slight lemon character over those cereal grains.
Medium mouthfeel.
The taste is juicy and bitter. Lingers at the end.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.
Pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of sudsy white head. The head leaves a crown of lacing along the glass as it settles into a thin sheet.
The aroma brings notes of fresh oranges, berries, lemon zest, and crackery malt. The back end is earthy and faintly spicy.
The flavor brings notes of orange gummies, blueberries, fresh mangoes, and pineapple. There's a nice, bready malt backbone that hits before an earthy, spicy finish.
The feel is medium-light bodied with lively carbonation. Crisp and highly drinkable. Slick, with a lingering bitterness.
Overall, this is a great, well-balanced pale ale. It's loaded with hoppy flavor and could honestly be mistaken for an IPA. Despite that, this pale ale is drinkable as hell. Well done.

Pours slightly hazy golden with decent finger of white foam. Aroma is fresh citrus and bread. Flavors pull in some tropical fruits and nicely balanced backbone. Finish is clean. Well executed DDH APA.

Can from Candia road
Slightly hazy light gold in color with a bubbly white head that persists. Crisp bready maltiness with bits of earthy citrus lemon and pine. Really tasty beer.

Poured into a 16 oz can shaped Stoneface glass canned on 5/13/19. Pours a very attractive hazy orange yellow with a massive 2 finger sticky white head that leaves loads of thin webs of lace. 4.5
Smell tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, and papaya low on bitterness. 4.25
Taste is even better, tropical front to back tangerine, some lemon lime flavor that is really nice, pineapple, and papaya really tasty stuff. 4.5
Mouthfeel is a solid near medium, soft gentle carbonation that coats the entire palate, sticky not dry, and so crushable but drinks bigger than 5.6% in flavor. 4.5
Overall this is a treasure at under 6%, really tasty and I feel I couldn’t get bored, but could crush them all day. 4.5

Bottom of can: "Hootie Hold My Can'd"
05/13/19
Opened on 5/25/19
Hazy gold, white hues with a clumpy, bubbly white cap, not tight, but holds it's cover well.
Had the nose of an NE style IPA. Full of orange citrus, bananas and cream, mango chunks and peppery earthy grains.
Stoneface brews always has a very healthy, fresh and crispy bite to the mouth feel. Medium bodied, crisp>juicy and then DRY...like 3x dry!
The hops grab you with dry earthiness, golden grainy malt that holds it's own, flavor wise. The extra dry hop tones are like peppery orange, grapefruit (no sugar) and crushed hop cones. This APA honestly has the level of complexity of an IPA, but the malt plays a bigger and very effective role.
The after taste is extra dry and earthy bitter! Right on.
Looking fir major hop flavor and dry mouth feel without the 7+ % abv??...this is it.
