Not awful by any means, I both love chai and love stout, but the combo doesn't work for me. Stone did this too and it didn't work there either. I'm a straight-up stout lover, rarely do the flavorings help for me.

Can stamped 12/19/19.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown close to black color with a three finger off white almost tan foamy head. This slid off to yield a little bit of messy lace.
The aroma definitely had the chai tea smell to it up rolling into some stout roasty and toasty qualities. Sly ashy sweet coffee tones and milk and dark chocolate whiffs.
The flavor charged forward through sweet and roasty tones bringing in those chai earthy tea-like notes in a nice herbal to semi-spicy fashion. Mellow aftertaste of the chai tea and a well branded roasty coffee ashiness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality. Good carbonation. Some tea smoothness.
Overall, I'd say Stoneface pulled this one off nicely.

On tap at True Brew Barista Concord.
Dark brown in color with a thin tan head that slowly recedes.
Creamed coffee and light roast with a bit more spice and tannin than I would have liked. Good to try probably wouldn't get again.

Canned 12/12/19
Pours a very large foamy tan head with fair retention, some soapy lacing, very dark basically jet black color
Nose big chai spice up front but not overbearing, sweet lactose, milk chocolate and chocolate milk, basically it
Taste brings big milk stout up front, some roasted malt, chocolate milk, lactose, little cocoa, hint of roasted coffee, light bitter roast, chai spices are lighter but definitely present, herbal sweet creamy chai tea, drier finish but creamy lactose, lingering bitter roast and mild spicy hops, and chai spices
Mouth is med to fuller bod, med foamy carb, creamy lactose
Overall is say they did a great job, not overly complicated and nice balance if chai spice and milk stout, the taste had plenty of milk stout with decent chai, aroma more chai dominated with milk stout background, but nicely balanced and quite enjoyable

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass. Judge Brendy!
Creamy and cascading forming head, light mocha and quite dark with a good three finger height. Lots of staying power for a milk stout as well, sitting on a real nearly dark black body. Very impressive looking beer.
Hints of light chai, mixing with a touch of whipped cocoa and mild lactose on the nose. Has that classic sweetness of chai tea, with only a faint hint of roasted malt character.
Palate is real enjoyable. Creamy sensing body, with and almost velvety mouthfeel. Silky flavors of chai spice and milk, mixing with a hint of dark roasted malt and light charring bitterness. Faint aftertaste of bitter chocolate, coupled with hints of vanilla and spicy chai tea flavors.
Real nice complimented beer flavor addition. I am surprised why other breweries haven't made more chai inspired milk stouts it's a perfect flavor combination, and this is done real well here.

Poured into a 16 oz can shaped pint glass, canned on 10/21/19. Pours a very attractive dark brown with a 2 plus finger sticky dark tan head that leaves thin streaks of lace, with solid retention. 4
Smell is chai, cinnamon, vanilla bean, cocoa nibs, and some coffee grounds. 4.25
Taste immediately the chai, cinnamon, hit the palate, with cocoa, vanilla, and expresso in the really nice and warming finish. 4.25
Mouthfeel is bigger than average, plenty of carbonation, a tad dry, and at 6.5% drinks a little bigger in body and flavor for me. 4
Overall this is really nice, I will try and score another 4 pack really a nice beer on a cool day. 4
