From a 16.9oz bottle ($9.00) purchased at the brewpub.... Aged on roasted almonds.
Sniftah filled, this bier has a flat, opaque, dark brown color. A hard pour brought forth a light tan, creamy 1/2" layer of suds, though it ebbed quickly down to a fine layer. Has some scattered carbo meandering topside, and decent lacework. Has a malty aroma, with brown sugar and toffee, plus some nutty notes. It is quite smooth going across the tongue, with a body in the medium to medium-plus range.
It's rather malty right off, with some caramel and toffee, a hint of choco, caramelized brown sugar, and subtle almond notes. Hopping is quite light, yet a bit earthy. A touch boozy and warming, though a solid brew. Cheers!
