Although light-bodied, this is a bigger, more robust take on a classic German style. Munich and Pilsner malts are accentuated by a variety of specialty German malts.

Dark, near black with a quick-disappearing tan head leaves just a ring and no lacing. Aroma is all roasty with a hint of cocoa. Flavor follows with a really nice light sweetness balancing any bitter from the roasted malt. Fairly simple, but really tasty. Very smooth almost creamy mouthfeel and a fairly clean finish. Good black lager for sure.
