Malt-forward, with mild bitterness balanced by a smooth and sweet grain character.

From a 16oz can, dated 05/03/22. Served in a willi becher pub glass.
Pours a very lightly hazed, warm caramel colour with a finger of soft, lathery foam. Retention is pretty good, leaving a wispy cap and a thin curtain of banded lacing.
Nose is mildly sweet and bready. Aromas of graham cracker, custard and cigarette tobacco with a slight metallic tang owing to its being served overly cold - user error.
Taste has a warm, earthy, thinly tannic quality not entirely unlike unsweetened iced tea. Tasting brown bread, golden molasses and American cigarette tobacco with a bare smidge of drying, turpy pine at the finish.
Feel is clean and quenching, thin bodied even relative to the style, but smooth, with fine, zippy carbonation.
Overall, I really enjoyed this! Think unsweetened iced tea with a soda water mixer. Not a style I think of for light crushable refreshment but there you go.
