Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass canned on 4/3/24. Pours a very attractive near pitch black with a 2 finger sticky brown head that leaves thick streaks of lace with excellent retention. 4.75
Aroma is cocoa, vanilla, coffee grounds, heath bar, a hint of pine, and a kiss of grapefruit. 4.25
Taste follows cocoa, coffee, Heath bar, vanilla, pine, and grapefruit and somehow it works together. 4.25
Mouthfeel is above average, gentle carbonation, maybe a little dry, and at 9% big body and flavor, but easy sipping. 4.5
Overall this is a unicorn these days. If you like the style, this one is excellent. 4.25
