Clear and golden. Thin head that becomes rim bubbles. Little leaving in the form of smaller spots.
There’s a touch of raw grain smell to the otherwise crisp and flowery aroma.
The body and carbonation are on the thin and spritzy side. Crisp and refreshing. More bitter than most pilsners and a tad bit dryer (like it should be as an Italian version). Decent aftertaste for the style.

Pint on draft in a shaker at Bruno’s in Portland.
Appearance: Slightly hazy straw with a big puffy white head. Lots of lacing on the way down. Head recedes to something that kind of resembles a winter puddle but in a good way. Nice looking beer.
Aroma: Grassy, a little hoppy. Crisp.
Taste: Lots of grass and hop bite. Bitterness increases as it warms. Floral. Little of biscuit and bread.
Mouthfeel: As one would expect. Perfect depth for this kind of beer.
Overall: One of the better American pilsners I’ve had. That sharp grassy bite really makes this memorable. Good stuff. Paired nicely with a tasty gamberello.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance -The beer pours a lightly hazed deep golden-amber color with a small head of foam. The head fades rather rapidly, leaving light notes of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a grain and cereal smell mixed with a bit of caramel malt, apricot, and peach. Along with these smells comes notes of earth and some light herb.
Taste – The taste starts out drier then would be anticipated from the nose, starting with a big showing of grainy malt, but only a very light level of caramel and stone fruits. There is a light level of earthy hop that gets a bit stronger as the taste advances. At the same time the graininess increases even more, and with a bit of grass, one is left with a grainy and rather crisp taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is medium to lighter in thickness with a moderate carbonation level.
Overall – A slightly more grainy and earthy hopped pils. Not bad.
