Interesting in smell but left wanting in taste and after. I’ Probably being over harsh because I want perfection but why not want that. This isn’t a throw away beer but a good exploration and I want to seek out the best dunkelweizen now. Its a gateway drug!

This is a great alternative to a porter - lighter, with surprising body and notes of chocolate.

L: Moderately dark brown color with a quickly dissipating head and no lacing to speak of. S: slight caramel perhaps with some sweetness and some floral notes T: sweet up front with minimal aftertaste. A good balance of yeast and light bitterness with some of the roast malts shining through. M: a little thin with moderate carbonation and more than the expected. O: a smooth and and satisfying beer but not my favorite dunkel
