While the aroma is a little underwhelming, this sour has a pretty nice complex flavor. I get a mix of tart strawberry, sour cherry, and blackberry. Malt base comes through in the mouthfeel with a slightly sticky quality that is lifted by the abundant carbonation. Appearance wise it isn't special but it's an attractive transparent ruby brown color. I would have appreciated some more yeast qualities on the nose.

Had at the brewery and then again on the same night at Eli Cannon's. Pours a cloudy brownish color, head fades eventually and leaves some spotty lacing. Big sweet and sour note on the nose, maybe some cherries in there, touch of funk. Nice layered flavor, sweet, middle is sour, notes of barnyard, some fruitiness around. Pretty smooth mouthfeel, creamy, with a body that is on the lower end of medium. Overall a tasty beer, but nothing too impressive for a FOB.

A: A ruddy dark and ruby brown. Pretty good clarity with garnet highlights. Pours with a fizzy head that fades in a few secs. (3.25/5)

S: Low sour aroma. Complex fruit flavors. Sour cherry, cranberry, strawberry. Herbal mint or anise. Low hop character. (4/5)

M: Medium body. Low-medium carbonation. Slick, wet throughout with tart finish. (3.75/5).

T: Light caramel malt factor with bing cherry, prune, underripe raspberries. Low-moderate sour character at end. Low oak woodiness and burnt character. Black currant juice balanced well with treacle sweetness. For first timers, black cherry warhead is probably the most apt description (4.25/5)
