A: a cloudy, dull gold; 1 finger pillowy white head that receded to a wispy cap; OK lacing;

S: a balance between citrus, coriander and pepper spiciness;

T: slightly medicinal up front; from mid-palate on, it's citrusy with coriander in the background; light pepper spiciness toward the finish; no bitterness; slight alcohol warmth toward the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate to high carbonation - effervescent;

O: OK, but nothing I would seek out in the future;

On tap at Meeting House: Pours a honey gold with a finger of head that settles to a cap. Faint malt aroma... Surpisingly tasty...Belgian candy cut with bread. You can "feel the bern" on this one.

I sampled this brew at Eli Cannons on a recent lunch visit. Came to me cold in a tulip glass.
The beer is a hazy golden hue with minimal bleached white head that is only a thin edge layer pretty quickly.
Aroma is very fruity with a little yeasty bread notes. I get some green apple and pears as dominant no hints of the booziness for this 10%er.
First sip reveals a very drinkable smooth body with gentle rolling carbonation. This makes it a very easy beer to enjoy and drink. Flavor is fruity malt and pears are prevalent, I do get a little spicy yeast and again bready notes, almost like a scone. The booze is covered over and not found, I actually feel like I am drinking a dubbel more than a Belgian strong ale.
I am impressed with this beer and enjoyed drinking it with my lunch. I will look for some other brews from Stubborn Beauty and strive to visit during open hours soon.

Pours clear, golden in color with a fluffy white head. Sweet with lots of pear and apple in the nose and on the tongue. Alcohol is very well hidden and only peeks through a little, as the beer warms. Dangerously drinkable. Drinks more like a Tripel than a Belgian Strong.

Very unexpected and a wonderful beer. Best in the line up, by far.

Highly recommended.
