L - deep orange.
S - grapefruit pith and candied orange.
T - grapefruit peel acidity. Some lingering bitterness. Sweetness and whit vinous character.
F - light and airy. Clean, reminds me of NEBCO.
O - this is DERP V.7. Couldn't find it on Beer Advocate and don't care enough to add it! Nice beer, one of the better DERPs.

Possibly one of the worst DIPAs that has come out of Connecticut. L- slight orangey amber hue with no carbonation action. Head retention is thin and fades fast. Within two sips the head is gone. S- not much on the nose for fruity or floral notes. Mainly a sweet sugar caramelly and boozy smell. T- Flavor is more reminiscent of a west coast style. High IBU and lack of hop flavor. Bitterness is bitingly harsh which is followed by a wave of sweetness and booze. The most subtle flavor of indiscriptive hops comes through, which I believe is Nelson. F- Mouthfeel is that of a homebrew. Seems like it wasn't a concern with this. Sits on your tongue like sparkling water. O- Not impressed by this beer whatsoever. Poor execution on a Nelson Dipa. Everything needs improving, especially mouthfeel and hop saturation. These two would have helped the beer overcome the booziness and bad carbonation. Take a note from Beer'ds Hobbit Juice.

Great fruity tones, just not as hoppy as I expected.

Second offering I've tried from this CT brewery. I preferred their 'Nummy Nummy' but this is a solid DIPA. If you're in Middletown stop in for a taste or a 1/2 growler- you won't be disappointed
