Smell is malt with a bit of fruit.
Taste is a fairly complex mix of fruit and citrus.

Pours a nice bright reddish copper color with a smaller cream colored head.

Aroma is very light some toasted caramel malts and light fruity notes and earthy hints.

Taste is pretty good toasted malts with some good caramel notes. Fruity hints blend with herbal mint like bitterness to round it out. Flavor is better or stronger then the nose let on to. Has the good malt flavor of an amber ale.

Mouthfeel is medium with maybe slightly more then medium carbonation.

Overall not a bad amber, defiantly hits the spot if your craving a toasted malt treat. Easy drinking and smooth, a solid enough brew.

A: High clarity, light copper/red color, lots of bubbles, yet thin head. Not necessarily a bad thing for this style.
S: Toasted bread and a bit of tree fruit
T: Bready and biscuit-y, some tropical fruits (faint hints of mango and pineapple), dry and piney hops.
F: Light body for the style, probably due to the low amount of caramel sweetness that I usually associate with red ales. Bordering on fizzy, but really not bad once it comes to room temperature
O: I'm biased as a Columbian, but I really like this beer as a session ale. I'd either drink it standing in a crowded bar with friends, or with food. I drink a lot of these!

N - caramel malts and yummy bread smells. Lightly yeast.

T - biscuity roasted malts. Kind of fruity and sweet. Very hearty.

M - chewy. Good carbonation.

O - very good red ale. Cheers!

Rated 9 November 2014.

Pours a relatively clear reddish-gold. No real head to speak of, but a thin layer of bubbles does cling to the top for the duration. No lacing, but a nice sheet of bubbles follows the beer up and down the glass as you drink.

Smells- smells like beer, but not in any standout way.

Taste- Mild malt, light hop bite.

Feel- smooth, easy to drink

River Rat sells this as "a beer for everybody" that is good "for drinking on hot day". I agree with that. Maybe not the most distinct of beers, but enjoyable and easy to drink.
