Barley’s Greenville Draught 010419 Appearance is the best aspect of this brew. Metallic nose is overwhelming. Taste is astringent and not well balanced. Some spice is present, but not pleasant.

12 oz bottle on a warm, late summer eve. ... the power has just gone out, but I continue under battery power ...
Appearance: large head rises quickly preventing a full pour, but it is rather fizzy and dies down quickly.
Aroma: Modestly pleasing smell but suggests an over-spiced beer. A trace of sweet malts emerges through the wintry spices.
Taste: Lightly sweet overall, with enough bitterness by the finish to avoid being objectionable. Slightly more spicing than optimal, I think, but certainly not way overdone, with some distinct input from the malt base and the orange peel.
Feel: Lively carbonation; near medium body.
O: bordering on too sweet and too spicy but ultimately not past either threshold. Flavor and fell improved with warming. Enjoyable complexity.
