Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear dark brown with a huge tan head. The aroma is malt and peanuts. The taste matches the nose. Pretty good, but the flavor could be amped up more.

Terrible beer! Not a porter and the peanut butter addition is all wrong...
Look-Not a dark enough SRM to even be called a porter
Smell-Smells like horse feed, not good
Taste-Taste like sweet feed with hints of old stale peanut butter and a very unbalanced and unattractive taste overall
Feel-Way too thin and doesn't even come close to fitting a porter
Overall-This is a train wreck and needs to be fixed or removed from this breweries rotation
I have only had negative experiences with River Rat, and their beers, and my most recent was the same. The arrogance of the head brewer and other minions is overwhelming and compared to the beers they produce, is very unnecessary and humorous. I don't think River Rat will be around for the long run if they don't figure this whole thing out soon!

12 oz bottle into a Belgian snifter.
I’m a fan of dark beers with roasted peanuts, but not a big fan of this brewery. This particular ale is neither a good peanut butter beer nor one that improves my impression of the brewery.
The aroma is a weak spot, with too much mud, and boiled peanut hull aroma.. The flavor is a little better, particularly the peanut aspect which now has more of a roasted peanut flavor. Still, some off notes detract from the flavor and the body is a bit too thin.
