On-tap at Waterfront Ale House, New York, NY
A: The beer is hazy amber in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a thin beige colored head that died down, laving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of spelt are present in the nose along with hints of toffee and sweet malts.
T: The taste roughly follows the smell and is dominated by flavors of spelt grains along with notes of toffee malts.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation along with some warming on the palate.
O: This beer is quite drinkable for a strong ale as it hides any traces of alcohol very well from the taste. There is a nice amount of slight warming in the mouthfeel, so this would make for a good choice when you want to warm up a bit on a chilly autumn or spring day.
