I received this beer from a recent BIF. I have heard of this brewery but never had any of their beers. The beer is 47 degrees and served in a tulip glass. The more recent beer I have received have been NEIPA. The beer has a two finger foamy and airy head with poor retention. IPA's beers, in general, have a billowy head with exceptional retention. The head is bright white and left no lacing on the glass. The head dissipated to a small white ring around the glass, it is pretty sad. The color of the beer is SRM 4 a pale gold color with yellow hues. The clarity of the beer is hazy.
The aromas in the beer are floral, herbal, citrus, oranges, grapefruit, toasted malts, grass, yeast, and medicinal.
The flavors in the beer are herbal, grass floral esters, oranges, toasted malt, yeast, dank, and medicinal.
The mouthfeel of the beer is astringent and dry.
The body of the beer is medium, medium-high carbonation, and full finish.
This beer is a unique NEIPA. I am not used to the flavors in the beer. The beer has a lot of medicinal and herbal notes that are stronger than the citrus. I am not a fan of this beer. I think that this is the way they wanted to brew this beer.
