Pours pitch black with some rates of stone fruit including plums. Also tastes of chocolate and some vanilla. Aroma was practically non existent in this beer.

Pouring a cellar temp can into the snifter. The beer pours a dark chocolate brown color with no light passing through the glass. A frothy tan head of 1 cm foams up and begins slowly fading to a rocky edge layer.
The aroma on this brew is kind of muted with some dark chocolate and roasted malt mixing together. Where is the fruit puree mentioned on the label? Maybe a little blueberry note, but no hops and the higher ABV is well hidden too.
First sip reveals a lighter body than expected and very fine gentle carbonation. Texture is very smooth and this beer is easy to drink. Did hope for a little thicker feel to it, but its good.
The flavor is malt and malt. I get some sweet chocolate, a bit of vanilla and some dark cacao. Also here I get the fruit, blueberry tartness and a bit of plum comes through and lingers after each swallow. This works really well with the chocolate notes. Again, no booze and no hop presence. Could be a slightly dangerous beer at 10.5% The aroma and body were a little disappointing but I do dig the fruit and chocolate notes mixing on the flavor. solid Imp Stout.

Picked this up in a can and was surprised that it hadn't been entered yet.
Pours out a pitch black with a very small brown head. Poor retention, but a thin ring remains. Very little lacing.
Smells tart and chocolaty. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, vanilla, blueberry, sour cherry.
Tastes like dark and milk chocolate with some tart fruits. None really stand out in particular, though. Maybe some blackberry and black currant. It tastes more like blueberry. A hint of vanilla, black coffee, and burnt toast.
The feel is thin for its abv. Medium, moderately carbonated, and slightly oily.
Overall, a great idea for an imperial stout, but they didn't pull it off that well.
