Look - poured into an imperial pint glass. Only a half finger head, but has good lacing with retention. Black in color and completely opaque.
Smell - hop forward, with mosaic hops strongly detectable and pine resin. some toasted malts as well, but definitely hop dominant and atypical of similar stouts.
Taste - surprisingly, tastes more like a typical stout than I expected. Strong roasted malt flavor hits first, with nice dark chocolate and coffee notes. bitter aftertaste, coming from both the hops and the dark chocolate. A nice, smooth, and long finish that leaves the mouth with the malty fragrance.
Feel - full bodied beer, below average in carbonation, and definitely a heavy hitter at 7.9% in a pint can. Alcohol is well masked.
Overall - this is a exceptional brew from Gun Hill. The hoppy additions give the traditional export stout a nice twist. Very enjoyable.

Taste more like a creamy ddh black ipa but a very nice balance between the chocolate malt and the citra and mosaic ipas. Well done Gun Hill Brewing.
