Hazy, pink/purple color. Medium-sized, pinkish head. Berries dominate in the aroma. Slightly tart taste with some herbal bitterness. Not bad for summer.

Welcome to my Happy CANtinuing New CANming Straight Outta The Bronx This Sunday, yo (Week 768) from Gun Hill & Heading for Brooklyn (Week 769)! It's a CANQuest (tm) thing.

From the CAN: "Sour Ale with Blueberry - Mosaic and Hallertau Blanc Hops"; "In Collaboration with Mondo"; "Make Life a Declaration"; "New York State Beer".

I Crack!ed open the vent & while initially intending to go with a slow, steady, gentle C-Line Glug, the first few seCANds demonstrated to me that this was futile & worthless. I then stepped up my output & wound up with just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, pinkish head that looked more like freshly-spun cotton CANdy. 8=O Color was a cloudy, turbid Magenta (SRM = N/A) reminding me of borscht. 8=O Nose was not really sour, more tart, but definitely fruity! Man, they did not hold back on the blueberry + the Mosaic & Hallertau Blanc hops were adding another layer of fruitiness. 8=O It was riotously fruity on the nose! Mouthfeel was surprisingly light, not thin per se, but more like ethereal, gliding through my mouth & across my tongue! Wow. I have never exbeerienced that before. 8=O The taste was very mildly tart, but VERY fruity! The blueberry was a nice tingle acCANponied by an equally tingly lemon citrusiness as the rest of the fruits CANmingled as if at a party, like a beer share such as the one that I was at yesterday. Finish was semi-dry, barely tart, so when reviewing to Style, it took a blow. OTOH, I really liked it as a Fruit & Field Beer & I enCANage you to think of it in the same way. YMMV.

A: The beer is very hazy purple in color. It poured with a short pink head that quickly settled down, leaving lots of specks of bubbles covering these surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of blueberries are present in the nose along with hints of sourness.
T: The taste follows the smell and has a little more flavors of blueberries, but there is hardly much in the way of sourness.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate and is faintly creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink but tastes like an unsweetened blueberry ale.

I taste mosaic hops upfront and a tart blueberry flavor in the finish. It smells great but I wish it was a bit more sour that’s all.
