Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a custom Sam Adams taster pint; no production information (although there often is on the bottom of the can at GHBC).
A: Pours a hazy, straw color with a one to two finger, white head, solid, half finger retention, and gorgeously complex Belgian lacing.
S: Aromas of lemon, grapefruit, cardamom, and mint with a pine note. Tart side of tangy.
T: More semidry than semisweet. Flavor profile follows the nose, overall reminiscent of a Sorachi Ace hopping. Solid, peppery, but almost minty bitterness rounds out the picture.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Dry without feeling astringent.
O: Really a delicious take on a Session IPA. Gun Hill may turn out to be my local go-to brewery. Great can art.
