Nutty, hoppy, foamy. Has a surprisingly fruity note which lingers on the tongue.

A pint taken at the 2010 Great British Beer Festival at Earls Court London on 4th August, handpulled into a festival straight sided sleeve pint glass.
It was a 3.8%ABV straw blond coloured bitter, not a Brown Ale, have they changed the beer completely and just kept the name?
Anyway, the beer was fairly bland and odourless to be honest. I only had it so I could add Northern Ireland to my country list as I try to drink around the world: and nowIi find it is a retired beer (on here) and might not even be the beer I've reviewed it under!
To be fair, it was a light session beer that didn't have enough about it against some of the more robust beers I was trying on either side of it.

Dark amber brown with a nice light khaki head of foam that holds up well for a hand-pulled brew. Aromas are of nuts, roasted malts, a bit of chocolate, and slight caramel notes. I also get some slightly floral hops, but they are very subdued. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth and the drinkability is good. Nice. The roastiness almost makes this seem like a dark mild/brown ale hybrid.

Cask ale at the Crown bar belfast
Pours with a murky dark amber body. Creamy head soon settles down after the beer has been left to rest
Smell, hoppy aromas, nice floral aroma, a slight sweetness also
Taste, smooth and easily consumed. Just the correct amount of hop bitterness to make it so smooth
A very nice ale, brewed locally, the best so far from the whitewater brewery

Draught @ Crown Liquor Saloon, Belfast: This one pours a dark amber color. There was a nice, fluffy hand pump head. The aroma was malty and somewhat floral. The taste was a malty sweet with a somewhat smokey taste. A bit of bitterness in the aftertaste. A hair light in the body. A really good session beer.
