on draft at the brewpub, in a 10 oz glass
I'm not sure why this was entered as a NEIPA, or why it's named hazy eye, as it wasn't hazy at all. Clear, dark golden color, this was much more a traditional strong bitterly hopped DIPA, with balancing malt. Which I have no problem with. solid aroma and flavor, medium bodied.

Golden yellow in color with a light haze. Poured with a short, creamy, bright white foam with medium retention. Stone fruit and malty aromas with notes of grainy malt and alcohol. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Creamy smooth feel through the middle with pleasant, mellow, boozy warmth toward the end. Grainy malt up front with earthy hop flavors. Medium hop bitterness through the middle followed by stone fruit flavors to the end. Finished with expanding malt and dark fruit sweetness coupled with booziness and light grainy malt. A more malt forward DIPA imo. Solid malt character that provides a strong boozy edge without getting hot. Well balanced by unique hop aromas and flavors. Great feel and drinkability.

has a hoppy full flavor without the bitter aftertaste. leaves you wanting another sip before you can put the glass down!
