Hazy lemon yellow pour, inch or less foam, impressive lacing. The nose is very weak. Light notes of ginger, very mild hint of hops. Ginger coming through a pretty solid pale ale. Balanced between the two. Much better than the smell insinuated but, imho, the ginger could have stood out more. Medium body and carbonation. Pretty decent.

a pale ale or pale wheat ale type brewed (rather aggressively) with organic ginger. i have had a ton of beers in this style, incorporating ginger for spice and refreshment factor, even health, but this one does it differently than most. its probably the most assertive and genuine ginger flavor i have found in a beer, spicy almost too hot really, right out of the ground, fresh, dosed to high heaven. i like that in such a light beer, it makes it distinct for sure. its unique too in that the beer is real light and dry, no yeast haze, no heavy handed hopping, no extra malt body, its just a quencher all the way though. each sip more powerful than the last, like hot wings all tossed in the same sauce, but the last one seems so much hotter than the first. this has a similar effect. i found myself almost wanting a lemon wedge to squeeze in. the acidity would balance it, and the lemon would be real complimentary. then i found myself thinking about a berliner edition of this, kettle soured and tangy with the ginger. those would rule. then i decided to just appreciate it for what it is, and i really was impressed by the quality and ingenuity here. really nice ginger beer, one of the best i have had.
